Located in the North of Denton, Texas, Lake Ray Roberts is midway the cities of Sanger and Pilot Point. This Lake sprawls an expansive 29,350 acres, with two state parks (Isle du Bois and Johnson Branch). A tributary of the Trinity River fills Lake Ray Roberts.
This Lake is named after congressman Ray Roberts, who supported its construction in 1980. Lake Lavon takes in portions of the three counties of Cooke, Grayson, and Denton.
